Uploading header images – images wont show

  • Dear developer,

    Since recently (i have suspicions it is since the update) i cant upload new header images. I used to be able to upload all kind of header images that worked perfectly, though yesterday i try’d to upload a new one but this image isnt showed. Look at the image below for the error example:

    As you can see i get these small pictures and the rest is grey, when i try to use the image (for the header) then it just shows white. I try’d to upload the picture in the appearance menu -> customize and in the appearance menu -> header, but in both ways it doesn’t work. Firstly i thought it was the image that was corrupted so i changed its path(from png to jpg) but this didn’t work, then i try’d to upload other pictures but i get the same error on all these pictures while it used to work perfectly. Any clue what is causing this?

    alright, actually by looking at my linked image i suddenly thought about the link that is displayed in the uploaded files page. I checked it just to be sure that the image was in the right (upload) folder. And so it wasn’t, for some reason my old pictures were all uploaded in sub folder 08 while the images i upload now are stored (at least, the link says it) in sub folder 10, but they aren’t stored there (the folder is empty).

    So the question now is, why are they being uploaded in the folder 10 and not anymore to 8 and why doesn’t it store the files there?

    I fixed the problem now with a workaround by copying the image in the 10 folder.
