• .: I d/l’d and installed 2.5 a few days ago, and immediately noticed that the uploading function is, well, not where it used to be. So I am assuming that the “Add Media” has replaced it. Is this the case? How does one upload a file, like Word, .pdf, .ppt, etc., if it isn’t “image”, “audio”, “video”, or the vague “media”?? The documentation is severely lacking on this – I can’t locate anything that tells me that the Upload function has migrated to “Add Media”. Equally frustrating are the options listed there: Add an image, video, audio, or media. Are/is “media” here to be interpreted as any file other than picture, movie or music? If so, again this is not clear at all.

Despite the foregoing, like many others, I am incapable of uploading anything anyways since I installed 2.5. The only error I get, regardless of what type of file I am uploading, is “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.” That’s it.

Also, what’s happened to “Manage Uploads”? Gone and forgotten?

    Argh. Very very frustrating…

  • I’ve had the same problem. I tried to upload a pdf file and got a rejection message–however–when a friend tried from his machine it worked. I wonder if it might be because I am running Vista and he is not… We both logged in with my password and he got a different upload screen than I did–one that allowed him to do the job. Have you been able to solve the problem since posting? Any new insights?
