    Hi there

We have a big library of images, every since we updated to wordpress 5.0 , uploading new pictures destroys our XEON cpu’s like crazy, it takes a full minute to upload 1 400kb picture.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

    it wasn’t like this before…

Can you prove somehow that it’s happens only when you upload images to Gmedia?
What happens when you upload to WP Media Library?

Upload time and CPU overload is a different thing. I haven’t such problems on my dev websites.

    Thanks for any additional info.

I’ll try a rollback to 4.9 , things started getting out of control after the update.
    I’ll report back.
