• I’m currently using WP 2.0.3 and I’m having trouble with uploading and inserting images into posts.

When I upload an image via the new post page, everything seems fine. However, when I insert the picture into the post, it shows up on the page as a small and low quality thumbnail (with no link to the original).

Is there any way to control the size and quality of inserted images? Is this even normal?

If this is normal behaviour, does anyone know of a plug-in that will give me greater control of images uploaded via the new post interface?

    Thanks!

  • If you click on the thumbnail in the image browser after you upload it, you should get a small options menu to pop up. The first option says “Using thumbnail.” Click on that, and it changes to “Using Original.” Then the third option says “Send to editor.” Click that and the image will show up in the editor at the current cursor location.

That’s how I do it. I’d like to have the system default to using original images and only sending thumbnails when I chose to, but I haven’t looked into how to change that – it’s probably a simple source change, but I haven’t checked.
