Uploading a site?

  • I have selected a theme for my website, began editing my site, but when I go to look at my website, simplisticgourmet.com, it says I have to upload my website. This is my first purchased domain, and I’m rather confused. How do I upload a website? I’m using ipage as my host.

  • It appears your doamin is not assigned to your wordpress install. when you installed Wp on your server it should have asked you the name of the folder you wanted it installed in.

    You should be able to go on your hosting account and enter the name of the folder you installed Wp in, so it will be assigned to your doamin.

    I think it is assigned to my domain. When I click edit my site from iPage, it shows wordpress with my website’s name.Should I uninstall wordpress and reinstall it again?

    couldn’t hurt. Do your ipage settings show the path to your folder with your wp installation? Your site name and domain name may not be the same, they don’t have to be.

    if you continue to have trouble you should contact your host provider.
