Uploading a Locally Hosted Xampp site to hosting service

If you have a host that won’t let you upload, it’s time to find a new host. Are you using someone who is providing web space with WordPress MU? If so, that might be a little different circumstance. It might be worth a little more inquiry before you commit a lot of time to it. Where is the fun in having your own web space if you can’t control what goes on it?

Service does have WordPress install capabilities. I think the tech I was talking with wasn’t particularly knowledgable. Am planning on making another call for clarification, but just seeking guidance from the forum before I do. As I said it doesn’t make sense to me. Just wondering if anyone had run across the same thing?? Seem to me I just overwrite existing installed wordpress directory with my local host site per the topic, but not sure.

I shy away from over-writing (shudder) whenever possible. My personal feeling is delete and install fresh. I think I would gather as much info as you can before you tackle it.
