• Hi,
    I was trying to upload my social bookmarking widgets and uploaded a file called Buttons_-0.5.3.2-tb.xpi by mistake. (Buttons was one of the addons to my thunderbird)

    I now get 2 warning messages at the top of my screen

    Warning: include_once(/home/east114o/public_html/curiousfu.com/wp-content/plugins/defaults/) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: Success in /home/east114o/public_html/curiousfu.com/wp-settings.php on line 473

    Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘/home/east114o/public_html/curiousfu.com/wp-content/plugins/defaults/’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/east114o/public_html/curiousfu.com/wp-settings.php on line 473

    I can’t find the file that I uploaded, so i can’t figure out how to uninstall it. I don’t know how to get rid of them. Could someone please help me?

    Cheers

  • Hi

    there is not supposed to be a folder named default under wp-content/plugins

    default is actually the name of a theme. first make sure you have a folder named default in wp-content/themes. if not you may have unintentionally moved the theme folder into the plugins folder. If so, and there is no “default” in “themes”, move it back. That should resolve the error you are seeing.

    If there IS already a folder named default in /themes/ then move the folder named default that’s in the plugins folder into some new folder that is outside of wp-content altogether (as we don’t know what it is or if it is necessary.

    Either of those should resolve the error you are getting.
