Uploaded old images to wordpress uploads folder not showing

  • I’ve recently changed the database of my website and uploaded old image backup files to WP “uploads” folder. Now all the images are broken and no thumbnails and probably not showing all the images also in the media section of wordpress.

    Please help. how can I view all the previous images in wordpress?

  • WordPress stores image info in the database, so simply uploading them into “uploads” isn’t going to work.

    You either need to import the image meta info from the old database to the new, or if you have no experience with working with databases, just add them via the media manager.

    If you can tell me in detail how can I import the image meta info from the old database to the new..I would like to try it.
