• Recently I uploaded a new theme to my website, wpfolio. At the same time I had to have Fatcow pretty much restore my website due to me messing with the site url setting on the wpadmin. Once my website was back up and running I set my portfolio page as my static home page. Since then everytime I upload an image, it uploads as a broken image. When I click on the image it opens a new tab that says that the website either is broken or does not exist. The thing I cannot figure out is that the link it goes to matches that of the only successful image upload that I have (I uploaded this one before I had to deal with fatcow and fixing the site).

So far many of the forums posted have lead me this far in figuring out exactly what the problem is. If anyone out there has any input on this or could lead me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Kristy

  • The URL of a WordPress site is dependent on where you installed it on your server. For example, if you installed WP in the yoursite.com/wordpress directory then change the URL to yoursite.com, WordPress won’t know where to put any of your content. Take a look at this article from the Codex.
