    Hello,

I’m using the free version of Virtue (2.4.1), with Virtue/Pinnacle Toolkit plugin 2.8.

I can upload icons (images from my media library, .jpg, .png) in the Home Icon Menu, but they don’t show on my website. I selected the box in ‘CSS-classes’ on the Menu’s subpage of the Appearance section. In the menu object, I put in the box ‘CSS Class (optional)’ the name of the title that I gave to the uploaded icon in the Home Icon Menu. I’m not sure if that is the way to do it?

If I simply select one of the icons (e.g. icon-home) in the Home Icon Menu, everything works fine. It’s only the uploaded icons that don’t work.

    Any ideas?

One other thing: in the Home Page Layout Manager, when I enable ‘Icon Menu’, the ‘Image Menu’ is enabled…

    Hey,
There isn’t an “image menu” in the free theme. I’m not sure what you saying about the css classes. Can you maybe post a link, might be able to understand better what your asking?

    Thanks for your reply.

About the CSS classes: I just wanted to make clear that I followed the steps in this link: https://www.kadencethemes.com/add-icons-to-your-menu-virtue-theme/.
When I do that for the ‘predefined icons’ (such as ‘icon-home’, now enabled on my website: https://www.blijmeteenmooiemus.nl), the icon menu works just fine. When I try to upload an icon, the icon doesn’t show on my website.

The image menu thing is not my main interest, I just wanted to let you know that it is enabled when I enable ‘Icon menu’ in the Home Page Layout Manager (which is NOT enabled now). I thought it might be a bug. I will enable it later to show you what I mean, otherwise I’m afraid things will get mixed up…

Adding icons to your menu and adding the “icon menu module are two different things. see this site here: https://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue2/
It’s got icons in the menu in the header but it’s also using the icon menu module in the body content.

    Ok, thanks for clarifying that.

Still, my main problem is that icons that I uploaded myself are not showing on my website in the icon menu. Any ideas on that?

Can you activate the icon menu module so I can see?

It is on. Or at least, the menu that is on now (the menu with the ‘icon-home’ icon above ‘home’) is what I mean by Icon Menu.

I thought it was possible to use ‘uploaded icons’ for that menu, but now I start to think that uploaded icons are only possible in what I called ‘image menu’, i.e. the menu for which the icon module should be activated… If so: oops…

Yes, think we are finally getting on the same page. The theme options > home layout. Those settings, only for the home page. Have nothing to do with what you put in the custom css of your menus. If you want custom icons in your header menu then you would need to add the custom css for those.

Right. Sorry for the miscommunication and thanks for your help and persistence.
