  • this plugin behaves like a file explorer on your hosting server… you don’t need to have an ftp connection to use this.
    If you’re asking if this plugin has the ability to connect to an outside FTP server, then no. I do believe that’s not the scope of this plugin

    @orangeworx is saying correct thing but Just click on mount FTP from the tool bar and fill the details and connect. Hope so it helps.

    @mndpsingh287 Thank you for the reply.
    I’m having trouble figuring out how to mount WP File Manager to an external FTP server. Is there instructions somewhere on how to do that, or is that a Pro only feature?
    I see a button called “Mount network volume” but it’s greyed out and I’m not sure how to make it an available option to use.

    We have storage limitations so that is why we are trying to redirect FTP to another FTP server.

    @atlabs, I’ve tried @mndpsingh287 recommendation but it seems the ftp options is a pro feature (it’s greyed out for me no matter the location…)

    FTP option is removed from the free version because it is requested by a lot of users in the past.
