Upload plugin, settings results in 404.

Uploaded the plugin to a site I am developing and when I try to access settings it 404’s.
Site is on shared hosting.
Tried:
-disabling all other plugins
+reverting back to default WP theme= Same results… 404.
Looking for any advice how I can resolve this.
