Upload Pictures Function Not Working

  • Until today, I have built 47 WP blogs exactly the same way–I have used different themes and then activated the same plugins for each blog. Each blog I build is a separate subdomain that is associate with a program I purchased from Blog Matrix Pro. Although my blogs are not considered to be WordPress.com blogs from a purely technical perspective, all of my blogs are WordPress blogs that are built with the latest version of WP. Sure the following could be a “Blog Matrix Pro” problem but to my mind it is more related to the “Uploading Pictures” function that is part of WP.

    For each blog, I create three pages:

    1. An “About this Blog” page
    2. A “Site Map” page
    3. A “Quick Facts” page

    For each of these pages, I upload a relevant jpg image from my hard drive. As per the clearly stated instructions in the WP FAQ section about “How do I upload pictures,” I have entered an optional title and description for each image, click on the Upload button, and choose Show > Thumbnail and Link To > page. Then I click on “Send to Editor” to put the image in my blog post.

    Today went I to build a new blog, I discovered that when I went to create a new page and tried to upload an image from my hard drive, there was no option to enter an optional title and description for my image, there was no option to choose Show > Thumbnail and Link To > page, and there was no “Send to editor” link to click.

    I have not changed anything on my blogs and when I go to any of my 47 blogs and go to the WP Dashboard > Manage > pages, if I try to create a new page, the above “missing” options are apparent on every blog I look at.

    One more thing: for the first time, when I go to Dashboard > Manage > pages > create new page, I notice that directly under the headspace meta data (I use this plugin on all of my blogs), there’s a reproduction of my WP Dashboard for that respective blog! Until today, when creating 47 blogs, this has never happened!

    Please help!

    Only blogs hosted at wp.com are considered to be wp.com blogs. If they’re hosted elsewhere, they have nothing to do with wordpress.com. Please don’t make the confusion any worse. (And if you hand around here or at wp.com, you’ll know that there is a lot of confusion.)

    Are the blogs in question hosted at wordpress.com? If so, you need to be over at https://en.forums.wordpress.com if not, please state so.

    Also please state very specifically what the specific issue is. One sentence followed by specific details would be helpful. Specific browser and version would be a plus. It reads as though you’re having a problem with sending an image over to the post, right?

    Telling us very specifically what you are seeing would also be a plus.
