We have recently had a problem with the “UpLoad Photos” widget not appearing for some users even though they are all the same user role.

We currently have 67 users on our site.
There are 61 galleries and 912 photos in the system.
We will be adding additional users and galleries to the system
We are using the Ultimate Member Version 2.1.15 plugin

When an admin user logs into the front end of the website they can see the “Upload Photos” widget however the “Upload to gallery” selection dropdown only shows 60 galleries so any gallery beyond the 1st 60 cannot be selected.

When one of the artists logs into the site as a user if they are one of the users with one of the first 60 galleries then they will see the “Upload Photos” widget, however if they are the 61st or later gallery they will not see the widget.

We are using WordPress Version 5.6.1
We are using WP Photo Album Plus Version 7.6.08.010
We are using the theme: UM Theme Version 1.27

    Thanks,
    John Novak

I also tried using the shortcode [wppa type=”upload” album=”#owner,Station Arts Centre”] where “Station Arts Centre” was the 62 gallery and it did not work. If the gallery owner was one of the earlier galleries then this would work.

I also get “No galleries or photos found matching your search criteria.” when using the shortcode [wppa type=”content” album=”#owner,Station Arts Centre”] for any gallery beyond the 61st even though they’re are photos in the gallery.

I can upload photos to galleries beyond the 61st on the sites dashboard using an administrator account.

I turned debug on for WPPA and got this from [wppa type=”content” album=”#owner,Station Arts Centre”] where “Station Arts Centre” is Gallery Id: 157 in the WPPA Gallery Admin page and is the 62nd gallery.

Also getting this on the Upload Photo’s” widget for allgallerys

    To begin with:
    [wppa type="upload" album="#owner,Station Arts Centre"]
is faulty, because after "#owner, a user login name is expected, not an album name.

What is the setting of Table VII-B13 Max fe upload albums Max number of albums in frontend upload selection box. ?

    Set it to 0 ( = unlimited )

    Thread Starter johnnovakphotography

    (@johnnovakphotography)

    Jacob,

In the [wppa] example the “Station Arts Centre” is both the username and the gallery name.

I had the setting of Table VII-B13 set to 500.

I just changed it to 0 and it had no effect. The dropdown list for selecting a gallery to upload when logged in as the administrator was the same.

Interestingly I then set Table VII-B13 to 10 and the selection list for the gallery in the “Upload Photo’s” widget changes from “select a gallery” to enter a gallery number”.

I then set Table VII-B13 to 100 and the selection list for the gallery in the “Upload Photo’s” widget went back to “select a gallery” but still only showed the first 61 of the 62 galleries we currently have.

The shortcode [wppa type=”content” album=”#owner,Station Arts Centre”] for any gallery beyond the 61st even though they’re are photos in the gallery.

    Jacob,

Let me describe out site. It’s at oxfordcreativeconnections.ca

It is a site for artists in our community and also uses the Ultimate Member plugin and theme.

If you click on the “Meet our Community” box on the home page it takes you to the directory list of our members.

If you then click on the box for “Pat Ball” it takes you to that artists Ultimate Member profile page where at the bottom of the page there is their gallery. This is generated bye a [wppa type=”content” album=”#owner,login-name”] short code. If they were the logged in user the “Upload Photo’s” widget would show on the profile sidebar.

If you go back to the directory list and go to page 5 you will see a box for the “Station Arts Centre” user. If you click on that to go to their profile page you will see that the gallery section on the bottom says “No galleries or photos found” even though there is 1 photo in their gallery. I have debug turned on for WPPA so if you add ?debug to the page url you will see that the debug messages for this gallery refer to “Start_album=-9” versus “Start_album=156” for the previous gallery.

    thanks,
    john

Interestingly I then set Table VII-B13 to 10 and the selection list for the gallery in the “Upload Photo’s” widget changes from “select a gallery” to enter a gallery number”.

This is normal behaviour, to prevent selectionboxes with thousands of items.

    Pls do the following:

Install and activate plugin Tweak option (its by me, so safe)

Find tweak option under the wp tools menu

    Find option wppa_child_list

Click Edit, copy the content of the edit box and paste it here in the forum.
    Quit tweak option.
