    Dear navyspitfire,

    PDF add-on has another purpose. It is being used for receiving submissions as a PDF attachment. As for file attachment, it is a feature available only as a part of Form Maker Pro.

    On the free version I am using the file upload field. I need users to be able to upload PDF’s. Does that mean I need to buy the add on, the pro version, or are they accepted in the free version? I only need that functionality so I don’t wish to buy an expensive standalone product for one piece of functionality.

    Also, what is the max upload size? Am I able to change it somewhere to allow bigger files to be uploaded?

    @navispitfire,

    File upload field is not available with free version, it is only accessible with Pro version. You need to add .pdf to the list of extension files. As for the maximum upload size, you can make it larger within the same field making it larger from 1000 KB in Maximum size(KB) option, though if you have limitations set by your server, it will apply to Form Maker as well.

    So I have to buy the form maker pro for $30 in order to get the pdf functionality? I can’t buy this $15 add on instead?

    Sorry I am confused. So only the pro version has PDF integration. I just need it for one site. Is that the $30 version I linked above?

    Dear navyspitfire,

    Add-on is not for uploading PDFs, it is for receiving submissions not as an email, but instead a PDF. Any Pro version of Form Maker has support for PDF upload. You just need to go to file upload field and add .pdf to its option called Supported file extensions. File Upload field is disabled for free version, which is why you will be required to purchase it. Thank you.

    Okay I am a little confused. Apparently I already bought the Pro version. It is version 2.7.53. Do I have to buy it again to update it to the latest version in order to be able to get this PDF functionality I am looking for?

    Dear navyspitfire,

    If you have Pro version do the following. Go to File Upload field, you will see an option Allowed file extensions. Just add it here:

    Does the pro version allow tiff files? Where can I see what file extensions are allowed with the file upload field?

    (@navyspitfire)

    Regarding uploading large file sizes, do you have any suggestions/tips on how I can allow for larger files to be uploaded quicker? I assume I would have to mess with my server instead of the plugin, but am wondering if you have any suggestions.

    @navyspitfire,

    tiff files will be supported if you similarly add tiff as allowed file extension.There is no list of types, all files which are supported for WordPress file upload, can be used with our plugin.

    With Form Maker you can increase the size in Maximum Upload Size section. But the server will have its own limitation as well. The server limitation will be applied to our settings regardless of how large our form allows to upload. Thus this feature should be resolved contacting your hosting provider. Thank you.
