Upload panel for dashboard

  • I’m using 2.7 beta 2, for some reason the drop down doesn’t list it.

    I think it would be quite useful to be able to upload items of any sort from the dashboard page and create a new post with the item in, via a checkbox? all this inside one of the little drag and drop boxes. Of course, this would be hidable from the screen options drop down.

    I just think that it would speed up quick posts of photos, files etc.

    Please tell me more about the QuickPress module. Is it something that will address the problems I have described in two questions on uploading media. Where do I find it? I am a WP user not a tech person.
