Upload my logo to Child Care Creative theme

  • Hello,
    I am using the Child Care Creative theme, version 3.8.2. I am in the Logo & Header Options where I am supposed to be able to upload my own .png image. I am unable to upload there and so it is telling me to: upload logo via FTP to here: wp-content/themes/child_care/images/logo.png. The only major problem I am experiencing in doing so is that I am fairly new to WordPress and I am not quite sure where to upload my image. Can someone please help me?   • hey Kelli,
    FTP is process where you use a software such as ‘Filezilla’ to log onto your server, and access its filesystem/directories.
    your hosting providers will usually have their own FTP portal as well.
    so get your FTP login credentials from your hosting providers / tech team. then login via FTP, navigate to the specified path and upload your image. ??

    Hi Shadez,

    Thank you so much for your help (: I did get my login credentials from my hosting provider and was actually able to successfully delete the generic logo from our site. Then I went into our site and I was able to successfully upload our logo; however, it was way too big. So I tried deleting it both on our site (on the back end of WP) and then when I wasn’t successful there, I tried deleting it again on FileZilla. Unfortunately, I wasn’t successful and now I have a huge logo on our site, lol. Can you point me in the right direction on where and how to delete the current logo on our site? I have searched all over FileZilla and wasn’t successful.

    hey.. you need to:
    1. use any software like photoshop to create your logo. ideal dimension should be 70px height x 350px wide
    2. save the file as logo.png
    3. connect to your server
    4. upload logo.png to path ‘/wp-content/themes/child-care-creative-wordpress/images/’ within your WP installation
    5. reload website and check (pages might be cached on your browser, so force reload multiple times)

    PS: be careful while deleting stuff from server.
