Upload Media not working and Posts submit for review

    problem 1: can no longer upload any pictures using the media tab (tried both options) or from the media tab in posts/pages.

    problem 2: when i try to create a post, the only option i am given is ‘submit for review’ and then the post disappears.

    problem 3: exclude from pages plug-in suddenly decided to include all pages.

    i have switched to twenty fourteen and deactivated all plug-ins with no changes.

    this started while on wordpress 3.8.2 (yesterday). i had not made any updates or changes before this happened.

    i upgraded to 3.8.3 today with no changes, improvements or otherwise.

    update: someone on the other post suggested checking with host to see about mod_security setting. there is no mod_security setting on my website and they cannot add it.

    this is day 3 of not being able to access my site which means it’s also day 3 of not being able to communicate with my customers.

    Just spent an hour on the phone with my host 1and1 trying to resolve the issue. No luck.
