• Hello,

I’m trying to build a mini-small-mini-corporate ?? social blog. I’m installing WP 4.3.1 + current version of Mantra theme. For the frontend posting I’m trying to use the new version of AccessPress Anonymous Post. Everything work OK so long I’m the ADMIN. When I try to generate a new post from AccessPress Anonymous Post as AUTHOR and when I try to uppload a new image I have a problem.

After selecting the image, the media library imports the file (the progres bar works), but on the end I become the message:
“You do not have permission to add the attachement.” (It is my translation from polish language). After that, they are no image in the media library.

    but…
    – when I’m uploading this image direct from the WordPress posting panel it works OK.
    – when I’m uploading this image from AccessPress Anonymous Post form as ADMIN works also OK.

It looks like this plugin (im my case) did not accept the AUTHOR’s permission by media upload, or I’m doing something wrong…

Has anyone already a similar problem?

Best from Cracov and thank you in advance.
    Mark

  • Yes. Same problem. Attempting in custom Contributor user role.

Works for admin. Does not work in other role.

This plugin would work well. I would simply wrap in a “hide unless user is logged in” function… for front end post submission… if the media upload worked.

May be a plugin conflict. Yet, not working for me either.

    Thanks.

    Hello there,

The Add Media button is generated by WordPress itself for the various user roles which have upload media capability. The add media button won’t display or won’t work if the logged in user doesn’t have that capabiltiy.

Please check the below link for understanding WordPress roles and capabilities.

If you still need to assign certain capabilities for certain roles which are not available by default, please check below reference.

    Thanks.
