• Hi Josie,
I have a scenario that need a workaround solution. I hope you can give me some ideas.
If for some reason, a member cannot do his/her own image upload. Is it possible for admin to do it from the backend like through Entry Wizard? If yes, can you direct me please.

  • Hi I use a user switching plugin, change to the user and upload their images for them. I think that’s probably the easiest way but no doubt Josie will have a good answer for you.

    Hi Veronica,
Thanks for chipping in. To use the Switching plugin, you have to know the member’s username and password in order to login, yes?

For just a few images, a user-switching plugin would certainly be the easiest way to do it.
If you have a large number of images, and/or already have the data in a spreadsheet, then check into “Batch upload of entire entries” in the Data Management section of the webform.

No you don’t need the password, if you’re an admin you can change to any user you want, just look up their name.

User Switching is the one I’m using at present.

    Veronica.

Thank you both. I’ll look into the two approaches. They sound good to me.

One more question. In creating a layout, is it possible to add a field that is hidden from users. I would like to use this hidden field for me to enter a random text/number after the upload. Users do not need to know about the code. I know I can use wp-user ID, but it is static.
