    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

The ACF Gallery field will return this error when a non-logged user try to interact with the field, typically on the front-end.

This issue can be reproduced using the native acf_form() feature, without ACF Extended. This is because the ACF Gallery field requires the WP Media Modal module, which use the currently logged user to check/set attachments permissions.

You’ll find some topics on the ACF Forums discussing this issue, here or here.

A workaround would be to not use the ACF Gallery field on the front-end if you expect non-logged users to interact with your form.

    Hope it helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.

    Hi,

thanks, so i made the workflow so that users have to register first,
but now i see that when you click to upload image for the gallery you get wordpress media library instead of browser upload file dialog.

Is there a way to set it up?

    Thanks!

    Hello!

Yes, this is the expected behavior.

The ACF Gallery field only works with the WP Media Library (thus why it requires a logged user). Unfortunately, there is no way to make it works with a “Browser Upload” type.

    Hope it answers your question!

Have a nice day, and a happy holiday season!

    Regards.
