• Hi There!

First, thank you for taking the time to make this plugin. It’s fantastic, was very easy to setup, and really helpful for getting around download size restrictions. I had two questions:

    1) Is it possible to allow a direct upload from the product creation page? I have a multi-vendor site that allows users to create their own digital products, but they don’t have access to the admin area. I can help them out by uploading the files for them and making it visible in the media library, but it would be awesome if they could do it when they’re creating the product.

    2) Is there a way to delete a file from the UI? I removed it from the media library, but the file still existed in the folder on the bucket, and showed up in the “Upload to S3” page. I didn’t see a way to remove it there.

Thank you very much for all of your work and help!

    Kind Regards,
    Jon

  • Hi Jon,

Thank you so much for your kind words.

    To answer your questions,

    1. Are you referring to WooCommerce product pages? I assume you want users to upload files on the front-end website, don’t you?

Do you have a sample page URL where we can take a look at the set up?

    2. Yes, that looks very possible. I will discuss with my team on this. Hopefully, we will be able to release this feature on the upcoming version of our plugin.

By the way, do you mind sharing your experience with other users by leaving us a 5-star review on WordPress, please Jon?

It takes just 1 minute but means a lot to our team.

Your kind words will motivate us to work harder and support you even better in the future.

    Thanks a lot, Jon @jlcox5

    Hi Elena,

Thank you very much for the prompt response. I’m happy to leave a review (just posted =)).

    For the questions:
    1) You’re exactly right. I’m referring to a WooCommerce product page and I’d like the vendors using the site to be able to upload files on the front-end. For the multi-vendor capability, I’m using Dokan, but honestly, if it will support the basic WooCommerce product page, I think I can work it into the front-end side of things. Dokan will either pick it up as a product field, or I can add it in myself (I’ve had to make a few modifications already). The website is https://www.minihoarder.com. I’d be happy to send a login link for a test vendor, but would prefer to do that in a private message. I also have a screenshot if that helps (I’m not sure how to upload that, though). If you just want to look at a basic product setup in WooCommerce, I’d be happy to accommodate that as well with a temp account. Just let me know which way you’d like me to go. =)

    2) That would be fantastic, thank you! I’ll keep a lookout for it.

Thank you very much for your time and help. I really appreciate it!

    Kind Regards,
    Jon

Thank you! I’ve just sent the email with all the steps necessary to log into the site and review the product settings for both the front end and from the admin side. I’ll look forward to your response there, and thank you very much again for your help!

    Kind Regards,
    Jon
