Upload files does not stick on Validation Error

Hello,
I have looked everywhere for this solution as surely it must have been mentioned before.

I have a simple form and within it I have a few Compulsory Fields and a file upload field. IF a compulsory filed is missed when submit is pressed then the Files chosen in the file upload field is lost (reverts back to “No file chosen).

The problem is that if the visitor only fixes the compulsory field (and most only do) and hits submit then no files are sent even though the visitor would believe that they are.

Is there anyway for the file chosen to STICK even if there are validation error?
