Upload Everything?

    Okay, maybe I’m just making things out to be more difficult than they seem, but the readme file when you get wordpress tells you at step four to “upload everything”. Does this mean take every file that came with the installation, and put it into your webhosting server?

    Because while looking through all the files in all the folders, there are multiple index.php files, and obviously you can’t have more than one. So……what’s goin’ on there?

    Ahhhhhhhhhhh errors errors everywhereeeee!

    I changed it from localhost to mysql, which was all fine and dandy but of course:

    “Cana€?t select database
    We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the wordpress database.”

    Crap.

    Ah ??

    Getting there – this means that it can see you, it can see the database, but it’s not been told that the two go together.

    You need to add you to the database, or give yourself ALL permissions. This should be in the mysql interface part of the control panel you have.

    Umm.. I looked around but I can’t really figure out how to give myself all permissions over my database. I sent them an e-mail asking for help but I doubt they’ll respond anytime soon… @_@

    If anyone knows, please tell me how, else I shall keep on lookin.

    Resolved.

    yahoo has an extremely unfriendly control panel (if indeed it can be called that) and does not even provide phpmyadmin pre-installed.

    If there is anyone who’s installed WordPress using Yahoo, could you please give me a hand?
