• Here’s what’s happening:

I’m trying to upload an image. It goes through the process, but the image just doesn’t upload. It doesn’t create the folder it belongs in either, but the parent folder is writable. It goes so far as to tell me the URL of the newly uploaded image, and it even shows me the thumbnail (which is broken, because it didn’t really upload).

I’m not using any plugins at all, and I tried the .htaccess tricks as decribed here, and nothing works.

    Any ideas?

  • Check to see if it uploaded the file to wp-admin/wp-content/uploads rather than wp-content/uploads.

If so, you’re another person who is experiencing the same bug I’ve described here. Unfortunately, I don’t have a fix.

Using 2.51 I get an http error and can’t upload anything, not pdfs, text files. What’s going on? I’m thinking about reverting to 2.0.
