Upload database with “%” sign.

    Hi Etoile Team,

    I have the premium version of the plugin and I’m uploading a large data excel file, each product having their own description.
    Some descriptions have the “%” in there and I noticed that it won’t let me upload the excel file because of it.

    Is there a way to bypass that?

    Note: I’m also using html code in the description, so when it uploads, it uploads with the code too.

  • Hi Mike,

    The percentage is indeed used by the SQL query in the upload, so it will cause problems with the import. With that in mind, You can use entity number for percentage sign in your catalogue excel file. For example & #37; (remove space between & and # when using) will show % sign in your product page. All the special character you are going to use. Try to use its html entity numbers.
    For using HTML code in your product. You can use just a html tags in your excel file. For example, to make word in italic. Use <i>content</i>. It will render in Italic style on front-end.
