Upload custom files

  • Just updated this plugin on 2 large sites and now upload custom files is broken. All other upload options work.

    Clicking upload custom opens the popup window then ater about 2 minutes I get a timeout error. Nothing is produced in the php log or the web server log.

    Had this happen on 2 different sites where it previously worked prior to upgrading.

  • I am having the same problem. Custom Files upload times out if there is anything in the Custom Files box.

    Since there was no reply from the plugin author and it appears that he has no intention of fixing this, I wrote a cron script that scans the directories I need pushed to the cdn and it generates a list and pushes files every 5 minutes. Not a perfect fix but it works.

    On another note, the problem seems to be related to the number of files in the uploads and gallery directories, in my case there was well over 600K files.

    Another avenue you could pursue is to push all the files to the cdn and then cleanup /archive the uploads and gallery directories and move it offline.

    Yeah, I realized shortly after posting this that it was a problem of too many files in my upload directory.

    One interesting thing I noticed, though, is that the automatic upload of new files in that directory works. So I may just need to find a way to get the initial push out there, then let any new files get pushed automatically.
