upgrading/downgrading 3.7 3.8 missing buttons and functions

i got an error that started by updating to 3.8 version of wordpress. Since the theme i was running wasnt compatible with 3.8… i downgraded it back to 3.7…when i did i got missing buttons and functions. For instance…im running woocommerce and when i want to add a product theres no categories, or “add an image” buttons.

i tried:
-reinstalling manually thru ftp, i cant reinstall thru wordpress because its missing the button,
-de-activating all plugins
-changing the theme
-upgrading back to 3.8 (im running that version now)
-i cant make a new database because i have all my posts loaded and i will loose all that information

did anyone got this problem before?
