I upgraded to php 5.2.9 and can no longer login to WordPress; after entering my user name and password and clicking Login, I get only a blank page (this is with all plugins deactivated). When I switch back to php 4.4.9 (the only other version available to me on my host, Westhost), I regain login access. However, I need php 5.2.9 for another program (phplist) to work properly. Anyone else having problems with this? By the way, I’m using WP 2.7.1.

  • Did you ever figure out what’s going on with this?

Same issue for me – any progress?

    This was resolved finally.

The problem was that we still had an old rpm of mod_auth_mysql on our RedHat ES 3 server. Apparently this was causing some sort of conflict with php 5.2.9. I’m not entirely sure what the conflict is, but removing the rpm from our system resolved the problem and WordPress is now working.
