Upgrading to 2.3?

Hi there, I’ve recently downloaded WP (automatically from Hostican). It seems to be version 2.2.2 (or so it says at bottom of each admin page). I’ve downloaded 2.3 and gone through the upgrade process. When I then go to the upgrade page ( https://localhost/wp-admin/upgrade.php) it tells me there that the site does not need upgrading. However, at the bottom of the admin pages it still says 2.2.2. What do I do??
