Upgrading t0 1.2

  • Hi, I am using 1.0.1 and just noticed there is now a 1.2 release. I don’t want to overwrite all my files because I have custom edits. What files from 1.2 do I have to upload for the upgrade to take effect?

    I just saw your part about ‘custom edits’
    From what you have to 1.2mingus (don’t use a nightly on a production blog) there have been significant changes to lots of the code. Although there may be a temptation to leave various files that you have edited in place, this could well end up causing errors. This is particularly true with the index.
    I don’t know how much you have edited, but I would take a full backup, the work through and replace your changes.

    i am stuck with delta release coz i updated another blog to 1.2 and the waypath plugin failed on it ?? i have many more hacks on my own blog ??
    just plain afraid to mess something thats working fine…

    Wow thanks for the quick replies. My edits aren’t huge, but I just don’t want to lose them. I will read the above posted threads.

    podz i have the hack installed but as soon as i enable it i get error…
