• Hi,
I’m currently using the marvellous Pictorialis I for my photoblog https://octolan.com/moleskine. Pictorialis is based on an old version of WP. Something like the 1.2 alpha. Pictorialis does exactly what I want, and I haven’t found some things I like in other programs/plugins… The problem is that Pictorialis is built on top of WP, it’s not a simple plugin… With the WP 2.0 coming in the near future, I’d like to know if some specific Pictorialis features are available in other solutions, without doing some code (if it’s possible).
    These features are:
    * thumbnails generated from a random part of the image (instead of the entire image scaled)
    * thumbnail-based navigation and archive displaying
    * for each post, one thumbnail is generated, and the image is scaled to fit in the template, while the original image is kept for te big size displaying
    * image upload from the Write panel (I think WP 2.0 does that)
    * and one more thing, I’d like the solution to import the whole archive, Pictorialis-style, I don’t want to republish everything ??

I searched for photoblog solutions in this forum, but couldn’t find anything that had exactly what I wanted…
If you know a solution that could work for me (WP or non-WP), please tell me about it!

    thanks!
