I am an administrative assistant for the company C&H services. I have taken the task of upgrading our WordPress based website and have backed up our files through a third party, Network Solutions, after deleting the old WP-Admin, and WP-Includes, and uploading the aforementioned files with the updated versions through our web host’s “File Manager” I am getting a message on our website.

Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in /data/25/2/77/142/2729631/user/2999616/htdocs/wp-includes/widgets/class-wp-widget-pages.php on line 17

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated in order to fix this issue, please.

    Hi,

I would restore your backup and start again.

Can you tell us why you deleted the old WP-Admin, and WP-Includes? This is not something you have to do when upgrading.
