  • Hey fellas, after my upgrade I have these errors above all of my pages:

Warning: array_filter(): The second argument, ‘Array’, should be a valid callback in /web/sites/ryanc/jalopyjournal.com/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 152

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /web/sites/ryanc/jalopyjournal.com/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 156

What in the world did I do?

Two issues were met when I upgraded 2.0 to 2.01

1)All the old posts vanished, even if I closed all plug-ins and changed to the default theme. Only comments can be displayed.

    2) When I tried to write or edit posts, I got the following message:

Warning: weblog_ping(/wp-includes/class-IXR.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/wangqj/blog.wangqj.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 851

Warning: weblog_ping(): Failed opening ‘/wp-includes/class-IXR.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 851

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: ixr_client in /wp-includes/functions.php on line 854

Evidently one of my posts was deleted, because if I remember right, my last one was on this very last page. And I don’t think it was “out of line” for anyone. :/

Anyways, I’m with pookguy88.. I know usually disabling plugins before an upgrade helps alot..but from the posts by “legit” and “well known” ppls are getting errors. How safe and sure is this “upgrade” for all of us “lower class” peoples lol? I might try it here, but just a tad scared because of all these other ppls with problems and from their comments…that’s all..

I don’t mean to sound rude and shit, but if someone shell’s it out, it’s going to be shelled right back!

i got error like Xander, too.

i can see this below, too.

    <input name=”referredby” type=”hidden” id=”referredby” value=”<div id=’error’>
<p class=’wpdberror’>WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘) ORDER BY post_id, meta_key’ at line 1]
    SELECT post_id, meta_key, meta_value FROM wp_postmeta WHERE post_id IN() ORDER BY post_id, meta_key
    </div>redo” />

Jesus! alwaysfine, I’m going to try upgrading mine once, <knock on wood> see what it does…I backed mine up before hand..but just out of curiousity..

    No problems here.

    mysql Ver 11.18 Distrib 3.23.58, for redhat-linux-gnu (i386)

    php 4.3.2

I do a very simply type of upgrading. I untar on top of the current install without removing anything first. ( I backup first ). Then I run the upgrade. For 2 to 2.01, I didn’t even turn off plugins first.

Another vote for no problems upgrading at all.

I just upgraded to the wordpress 2.0.1 release, followed the install procedure, and went to upgrade.php

When i see the RSS feed for Comments, and the RSS feed for blog posts (full text) they are returning the same content !

Anybody else has the same problem?

    my blog adress:
    https://archija.info

I have a problem! My visual rich editor is gone! All I have now is an ol’school text editor. Anyone?!

Upgraded to 2.0.1 on two blogs with no problems at all.

Quick question, though. Where in my interface can I verify that I’ve upgraded to 2.0.1? It only says I’m at 2.0. Did the footer of my control panel not get updated properly?

    2 problems here:

    1. Adhesive plugin blocked posts from showing – after disabling it everything is fine.

    2. My language reverted to English. Dashboard is in English, some of the theme texts as well. WP seems to ignore language settings in config.

My language problem has been fixed – character case problem in the config. Now everything works ok.

abinidi – you should see 2.0.1 at the bottom of any Admin panel. Also, you should see an Uploading section in your Administration > Options > Miscellaneous panel.

Wonder if all your files got uploaded correctly?

@tanster: Yes, exactly the same error when WP tries to retrieve a post.

I upgraded from 2.0 to 2.0.1 earlier today and it all went smoothly. And I’m suddenly able to ping other blogs – as soon as I upgraded, all the pings I’d sent since upgrading to 2.0 went shooting off across the blogosphere – most were weeks out of date but it’s interesting to find out that they just hang around until they’re released!
