Upgrading from 2.6.3

I’ve taken over an old WP site made by another agency and I am tasked with rebuilding it in a new theme with Elementor. They installed “WP Real Media Library” version 2.6.3 which is now very old and I would like to upgrade.

I tried installing the latest “WordPress Real Media Library” and deactivated the old plugin. The folders are still there and the file count of each folder shows as before, but all folders are empty.

Is there any way to get the new plugin to recognize the folder structure and content from the old plugin?

(I see that a similar question from 8 months ago was directed to the premium support, but the firm that once built the site no longer exists so I have no idea if RML is a premium plugin or not, nor do I have any way to access any license keys.)
