Please make sure if you have recurring events and multiple day events that you check the appropriate settings boxes.

There are also some other things to consider:

    – If the calendar is being displayed as a list then the default is to show the next 7 days worth of events, and if there are none then you will see the massage “No events to display”

    – If you are upgrading from an old version, try clearing the cache.

    – If you are upgrading from an old version try changing any shortcode and widget IDs to the new Feed IDs generated in your Feeds admin.

These are a few things to start with. I will be glad to help you as much as I can to get you going on the newest version.

    Thanks!

Thanks Nick. I tried all of your suggestions and still no luck. Any other options I can try?

What happens if you make a brand new feed and use the same calendar link?

    (@mgawley4)

I’ve tried that too. Still no luck. No events to display in list view and the grid is empty in grid view. Is there anything I need in my shortcode other than the feed id to show at least something? For example, my shortcode is

    [gcal id="1371"]

    (@nickyoung87)

Nope that is perfect. That is all you need to show a calendar with the settings saved for the feed.

Hmm, trying to think of any other things you could try out here. What are your other feed settings? How did you upload the plugin? FTP, zip file, or using the search to find and download – or did you just do the automatic update?

I will keep trying to find other ideas so that I can narrow this down for you. Apologies for all the trouble!

No worries. I did several things…

    1. Downloaded 2.0.4 originally using the search.
    2. Since the plugin didn’t work, I uninstalled and installed the old version (0.7.3.1) via FTP.
    3. After I saw that the old version worked, I upgraded through the automatic update. Broken again ??

@mgawley By chance are you entering the shortcode in the Text tab of the post editor and that there are no extra characters inside [gcal id=”1371″] ? Just want to rule that out.

    No extra characters.

I’m also getting a cross-origin XHR error in the console. See https://screencast.com/t/iXY2RA0EosR

Is there a setting somewhere in the site setup where it’s trying to access https://1.2.3.4 ?
    Haven’t seen this yet.

    (@mgawley4)

Hmmm. Not that I know of. I’ll have to research it. Perhaps it’s another plugin that’s causing issues.

I’m having the same exact issue, after upgrading to 2.0.4

    Thread Starter mgawley4

    (@mgawley4)

So… Things I’ve tried since the last post.

    1. Disabled plugins one at a time to see if there was conflict. Disabling plugins did not solve anything.

    2. I searched my website for the code Phil mentions in the screenshot, but I could not find anything. A google search of XHR error https://1.2.3.4 refers to web acceleration on the ISP side. Since I could not reproduce the error, I would have to assume the XHR error has to be on Phil’s side.

I’m either going to have to downgrade or embed the google calendar into our website.

Have you also tried switching to a default theme? (assuming you are not using a default one already)

Could you check and see if your recurring events have an end date? If not, could you change them so they do end in the next year or so?

We’re trying to determine if it’s only “forever” recurring events that are not getting displayed properly.

    Thanks.

We have just pushed out the 2.0.6 version. Please try updating to that to get these issues resolved. If you are still having problems please don’t hesitate to let us know.

    Thank you
