• If someone were to be in touch about upgrading a website of theirs, and they have a decent site that’s just got that 2007 html look, and they just want a sleek/modern design. Can you rebuild their website using their previous text?

Seems a bit much to write entirely from scratch, and that really isn’t what they’re looking for or need. On the other hand not sure about the copyright behind it all. Seems it was build by a chain firm (ie. McDonalds lol), however not sure if after cancellation someone would notice the copied text.

Is there a general rule on this? Accepted practice or infingement.

Is it currently a WordPress site?

    No.

I guess you’re thinking I could just update the theme I suppose, but trouble is in those situations I would guess the web designer, not the client (ie restaurant, hair salon etc) would have the access.

Ok, we can really only help with WordPress issues here.

Are you considering converting the site to WordPress?
