Upgrading 2.0.X to 2.2

We have several blogs that are running at the very least WP 2.0.5. Some are running 2.0.10 as well. I’m trying to figure out how to upgrade them from 2.0.5 to 2.2.

I understand that we can go from 2.0.5 to 2.1 and then to 2.2, but I want to go directly to 2.2 from 2.0.5. Because of the sheer nature of blogs installed we are having an installer built for the upgrade process and going the 2.0.5 to 2.1 to 2.2 would be very difficult if even possible.

I couldn’t find any articles specifically for this upgrade path, so I apologize ahead of time if they exist already.

Is this possible? How would we do it?

Another quick question: Is WordPress 2.0.10 a newer version than 2.0.5?
