• Upgraded to 3.4.1
now when I go to Appearance-> Widgets
I see Drag widgets from here to a sidebar on the right to activate them. Drag widgets back here to deactivate them and delete their settings. But there is no side bar showing to drag the widgets to.

    Using Classic Theme
    I’ve tried-
-disabling all plugs-ins(with the exception of All-in-One Calendar by Then.ly, as I have this pulling lots of different feeds and don’t want to have to set those all back up)
-clearing my cache but still the issue is there

Any other thoughts on what to try next?
Does not appear to matter which browser I use, currently Chrome

    Thanks

  • I am having this same problem since upgrading to 3.4.1. My stats are also not counting correctly. (The stat bars shows significantly less than the added amounts from referrers and searches.) I look forward to hearing the answer!

I upgraded a sister site to 3.4.1 which also has All-in-one Calendar installed and the widgets side bar shows in appearance

Should I try to re-install 3.4.1 on the site in question?

    Same here.
THEN I deactivated one of my plugins and the widgets page re-appeared!
Could it be a rouge plugin that doesn’t like the WP upgrade?

    @clowmilk: Try:

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Thanks esmi
Tried the 2011 theme it was a no go as well
Awaiting the web guy to get back from vacation so I can get to the host site and try the other possible fixes

    update
Reset the plug-ins folders via FTP and the widget sidebar reappeared
Reactivated the one plug-in I use the most-All in one Calendar and poof it was gone again
Tried several times with the same results
Have contacted the plug-in vendor and am awaiting a reply

Odd that the same combination 3.41 and 1.71 doesn’t break it on my sister site
