Upgraded to WordPress 4.6.1 getting Fatal error

  • I just upgraded to WordPress 4.6.1 and now when I go to wp-admin I receive the following error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_cache_get() in /home/jewishc5/public_html/fedweb/wp-includes/option.php on line 1117

  • After an update around 12:00 pm, my blog went out of the air and in place appeared a blank page with this error:

    I can not access the blog or via ftp
