I upgraded to 4.4.2 yesterday through Bluehost. After upgrading, when I open the post template to edit an existing post, the template is blank. The post is showing up and active when I go to my blog, but I can’t edit the posts.

I also cannot edit pages, or write new posts. I can’t even get the cursor into the template at all.

I deactivated all plugins except an Openhook Plugin and Premium Slider plugin because they are tied to the design of my site, and I’m afraid if I deactivate them I will ruin my site design.

Of those I deactivated, I found no problem. I activated them again one by one and tested after each deactivation and activation. I deleted several security plugs and reinstalled them.

I then restored my site back to February 5, 2016 and the problem persists.

    I’m at a total loss.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Does the problem persist if you deactivate OpenHook?

Don’t worry; deactivating OpenHook will not cause your customizations to be lost. Simply activate OpenHook again and they’ll be there.

Also, have you tried temporarily turning off whichever action groups you’re using in the main options of OpenHook to rule out anything that may be in your custom code?

I just deactivated my OpenHook plugin, and no change. I then deactivated the Premium Slider and it gave me an error: “WordPress Failed are You sure You want to Do This?” with an active link available for me to “Try again”

I just went back to the plugins page and didn’t “try again”

I am having a similar problem after upgrading to 4.4.2 using Softaculous (hosted by HostPapa). I do not have OpenHook.

    Hi Peter,

I work with HostPapa and came across your mention. I would be happy to help you connect with our team to help you to resolve your issue. Please let me know if you have previously submitted a support ticket for this issue and what your ticket number was/is. Thanks! Jennifer
