  • I am having the same issue with my visual editor.

*Using IE9 doesn’t cause the issue
*Using Firefox 4 causes the issue
*disabling Multipage Toolkit fixes the issue
*Using IE9 doesn’t let the visual editor go full screen causes headace for writers

Now if i disable Multipage Toolkit Plugin which would fix the issue but it would break the site as all feature article have more than one page and this is not good at all. I also found out that the plugin hasn’t been developed on since 2008 which is real worry.

I really need it fixed ??

I just found this issue when looking into Google webmaster tools to find out why my site is not showing up on the SERPs all of a sudden. I changed my permalink structure in Jan 2011 to include the %year% before the postname as my site would not load. I have a huge amount of pages and using only the %postname% permalink caused a time-out. As of right now, the upgrade to 3.1 has changed all permalinks to the present year (2011) so all posts prior to the start of 2011 are going to a 404 page. I don’t believe there’s any way to manually edit that part of the permalink either. I’ve tried to use permalinks migration to change to a post_id instead of the year but it resulted in all links being broken.

with all the broken back links my site is now in never-never land. Any thoughts?

    This was driving me crazy…

I tried a lot of the suggested replacements, downgrades and plugin tips listed above because all of my blog LINKS and CATEGORIES stopped working, but nothing helped… Save ONE…

The post by QUICOTO suggested going into the PERMALINKS and selecting DEFAULT…

Now ALL my pages, links, categories, etc. work just fine. What was in 3.1 that screwed up all the link structure. So THIS TIME it was NOT a theme problem… First time an upgrade so destroyed my blog…

    Hope this helps.

Just for fun and to try and figure out what had happened to my LINKS and CATEGORIES I went back into PERMALINKS and changed to “Month and name” and VOILA… everything worked… ??

I then reactivated all my plugins and everything is fine…

I have NO idea what the PERMALINK change had to do with my screwed up links, but now all is well and working fine.

Sure caused me some consternation and heartache…

Maybe some other post knows what the 3.1 upgrade did to the PERMALINK structure and why switching back and forth from DEFAULT cured the gremlin??

FYI, we have just /%postname%/ for our setup and are on 3.2.1 and WP No Category Base has it figured out. I detailed more of our setup and issues in another thread if anyone is curious.
