Upgraded to 2.6. Now I can’t log in.

  • I upgraded to 2.6 yesterday.
    When I went to admin page, it prompted me to upgrade my database, so I clicked ok.
    After that it asked me to log in again.
    I can’t log in. The message “Please log in again.” keeps popping.

    I’ve tried resetting password, which got sent to my email. Still can’t log in.
    I’ve tried deleting my wordpress folder except the config file and replaced it with 2.6 version. Same thing.

    Please help!

  • Yup, doesn’t have anything to do with the passwords. I tried that too. Looks like more people are having this issue, just read this:

    What I have done so far:
    – I reinstalled 3 times, downloaded new source each time.
    – I reinstalled older version, having the same issue.
    – Reset Passwords
    – Updated the wp-config.php to new version

    Looks like my site will be down a while. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Following that advice. Renamed plugins directory. After doing that I got a message that the DB needs to be upgraded. Went fine and the site is now back in business. Thanks for all the help everybody!
