Upgraded to 2.1 But No Posts

  • I just upgraded my wp 2.0.5 to 2.1. After finished installation, everything working fine but there is no posts displayed. I check in my database, the posts were still there but wp can’t found it. Any helps?

  • You ran the upgrade.php, right?

    Try changing to the default theme. Have posts showing up now?

    If not, start disabling plugins and see if one of those is the culprit.

    i did that. either in default theme, the posts does not show up. i had disabled all plugins and it is still the same.

    I would check error_log for Apache to see if you can find some PHP complaints. It is at /var/log/httpd/error_log for my FC6 installation.
    also, should we assume your php/mysql meet the minimum requirements?

    my hosting meet the requirements. here is the details.

    MySQL version: 4.1.21-standard
    PHP version: 4.4.2

    i’m not sure why it happen. btw the demo website that i created is running succesfully with wp2.1 but my main website got this problem.

    the instruction is to disable all plugins before upgrading. If you didn’t do that, I’d recommend to roll your backup tarball, then retry upgrading.

    When I first updated, I had a message that said “No posts match the query” or something like that… I then logged in to the Admin Panel and was asked to upgrade. After running the upgrade there, my posts showed up again.
