Upgraded to 2.0.7 and Product Descriptions do not sync

    I’ve been using 1.0.38 because of all the reported bugs in 2.x … I bit the bullet and upgraded though because I wanted to have the product description sync over which, from what I understand, wasn’t possible with 1.0.38. Unfortunately the product descriptions are not syncing, all other inventory changes in Square are syncing over, but no product description. Latest version of WordPress/WooCommerce, tried with all plugins except WooCommerse/Square disabled, and the storefront theme and it’s the same thing.

    Please advise

    Hi Richard,

    With Square 2.0.x, depending on your System of Record setting, different data will be synced:

    Product Description is not synced in any case though.

    I completely understand why you’d want this though. Would you mind adding a request for such functionality to our ideas board?

    Since when? I had to use 2.0.x versions before on other sites and the product description most certainly did sync, that’s why I upgraded on this site. There’s no way to force a product description to sync? Nothing I can add the theme’s function file?

    After a bit of further research, I found out that with Square 1.0.x, the product description was supposed to be synced, but not with Square 2.0.x.

    Our developers just addressed this in the newly released Square 2.0.8:

    Fix - Category and description data not updated in a sync from Square.

    Can you please check whether the product description is synced after updating to Square 2.0.8?
