I upgraded our website that uses the Responsive Theme to 4.6.5 and now I am unable to edit any of the front page. The updated theme caused our menus to be 2 rows instead of one and I will like to try to fix it. When I want to customize the theme, there are no options. Just basically a blank screen. I was on 4.x prior to the most recent theme upgrade. I do not remember exactly which one.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @busler ,

    1. Regarding the “blank screen” issue you mentioned, are there any console errors visible in the browser after visiting the customizer page?

Can you please let us know the current WordPress version, PHP version, Responsive Pro version (if available) installed on your WordPress instance?

    2. Regarding the “caused menus to be 2 rows instead of one” issue you mentioned, the last element in the menu shifted to the next row as there is not enough space for it on the first row with the current layout width.

You can change the overall layout width with the following steps –
    a) Go to WordPress admin dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize.
    b) Then go to Global Settings -> Layout.
    c) Now, adjust the Container Width slider to change the overall maximum width of the layout such that all the menu items are present on the same row.

I have not seen any console errors on the customizer page. Here is a link to what it looks like: https://pasteboard.co/KirAVst.jpg

    I am using the following:
    Wordpress – 5.8
    PHP – 7.4.22
    Responsive Pro – No

Once we figure out what is wrong with the customizer page, I should be able to use the steps you gave to adjust the appearance of the header.

    Hello @busler ,

Thank you for the screenshot and the information.

It is possible that the “Black Studio TinyMCE” plugin you have used on the home widgets could be interfering with the latest theme and WordPress version.

Can you please try disabling this plugin and then check if this resolves the customizer issue?

I disabled the Black Studio TinyMCE plugin and still had the same problem with the blank screen. Are there other plugins known to have issues with the theme?
