Upgraded now can’t post or move sidebar stuff

  • I really need help please. I’ve put in a couple of these tickets and have got no response and so I tried to do it on my own.

    I did an upgrade then I wasn’t able to do anything from the dashboard. Now after several attmepts and mishaps I can only post at the dashboard front page with quick press but I can’t add images or anything else. I can’t post on the NEW POST page at all….only the title will come up. Strange!

    Also with the theme I can’t move widgets at all…it says to drag them, can’t do that at all!

    I messed with this site so much that I lost 2yrs worth of posts and I just want to start over but if I can’t post w/images then what is the point.

    Any help will be nice…THANK YOU!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin?

    yep…still not working. I used the default theme and nothing changes. Can’t move the widgets and can’t write in the post of even change to the html button. So frustrating!

    I have the same exact problem. i have FOUR other wp installations running thesis1_7 and this is the only place this is occuring, with a brand new installation. Have reuploaded all files several times. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING AND A DEAL KILLER!

    The fact is, if you HIGHLIGHT the post box, you can see what you have typed. It looks as though the post area is displaying with white text instead of black.
