When you upgrade this plugin, it is possible that your forms need to be upgraded too, as and when new functionality/bug fixes requires a new form format/field update from the admin editor page.
Each time a form is created/updated in the form editor, the current version of the plugin is stored along with that form. A minimum version is required for the form to work properly. If a form’s version number is below that minimum, the plugin will flag it as requiring an upgrade.

How do I update my form?

Simply open the form in the admin form editor (in your dashboard), and press the Update button to save it again. That’s it!

  • @aurovrata when I try to update my forms, WordPress shows me an error message like this:

The link you have followed has expired.
    Please, try again later.

I can not update my forms due to this error after updating to 4.8.2 version. If I deactivate your plugin I can update my form without problems, but if I activate your plugin again the error message returns.

Last version of your plugin were running well.

    Hola Beatriz,

please see this thread to resolve your issue.

I’m still having issues updating. When I click on the Update button in the form, I get
The link you followed has expired.
    Please try again.

I did add to the .htaccess file
    php_value upload_max_filesize 128M
    php_value post_max_size 128M
    php_value max_execution_time 300
    php_value max_input_time 300

and I generated and added new salt keys.

yes it had me log in again and I tried the update and wouldn’t work.

    here’s the test.

btw, if I deactivate the Smart Grid-Layout Design for Contact Form 7 it works.

I did add to the .htaccess file

depending on your server, these may not have been taken into account…

you need to first run a phpinfo() test to ensure you values are set properly.

I deactivate the Smart Grid-Layout Design for Contact Form 7 it works.

post CF7 5.4 this issue is cropping quite often and is the result of added processes handled by CF7 plugin. On its own its fine, but with the Smart Grid extension it runs out of memory or time and hence hte message

In my case the problem were the Redirection for Contact Form 7 plugin configuration (all options was empty). I’ve deactivate it and problem resolved.

I checked that php info and it was working… but I couldn’t update…

Thank you Beatriz… we had redirect for contact form 7. so I did this:

deactivate Redirect for contact form 7

go to the form that needed updating and then I could update it.
then I turned Redirect for contact form 7 back on and it all works.

deactivate Redirect for contact form 7

please be aware that the Smart Grid already offers a redirection settings on the form editor itself (scroll down and look for the meta-box titled ‘Redirect on Submission’

    I’m glad I helped you @jrosenbomb ??

    Hello,
when I want to open form in editor to update it, editor is loading and does not load the form. When I deactivate CF7 Smart Grid Design Extension plugin, editor is working, but there are several errors in form.
