I updated to the latest version of Lovecraft a few days ago and didn’t realize until this morning that all of my custom colors were gone and my site was basically white. I’ve been messing around for hours and finally have most of the colors back, but the title section and the menu section are still a white color instead of the darker grey like the body. I’ve been all through the css and can’t figure out where I change this. Please help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

It should look like the one here except I’ve changed the red accents to purple:

    Hi @makerofbirds,

It sounds like you’ve made your changed directly to the style.css file in the theme directory. Any changes you make directly to the theme files will be overwritten the next time an update is released for the theme, since WordPress overwrites the old theme folder with the updated version each time.

If you want to retain your changes when Lovecraft is updated, you’ll need to add them to either a child theme or to the Additional CSS field in the WordPress customizer.

Thanks for the info! Can you tell me where in the css file I can change the color on the site name and the menu bar from white to my grey color?

@makerofbirds The elements you need to target are .header and .navigation. But again, if you make these changes in the CSS file directly, it will be overwritten when I update Lovecraft next (which will probably be pretty soon).
