    Hello,

    after i upgraded to WP 5.3 and php 7.3 fpm on debian 10. We got the problem, if we try to add a new person or edit one of the old, there is no field where we can enter or edit stuff. It don’t show up.

    Is this a known issue with 5.3?

    Kind Regards,
    Timo

    There are currently no known issue with WP 5.3 or PHP 7.3. I suggest looking into the PHP error logs. There might be info in their that might reveal the source of the issue.

    Hm no error in the log.
    The input fields just dont appear.
    Is this a permission problem or something?

    Ah ok I found it. I need now to click right up corner on a invisible action.

    class="widget-action"
    /wp-includes/js/tinymce/skins/lightgray/skin.min.css.map

    I’m sorry, but what do you mean by invisible action?

    The small icon on the right up corner is invisible where you click and the input fields appear under it.

    This does not sound like a Connections user interface element… unless I am not understanding. Could you please share a screenshot?

    Screenshot

    you have to click where the red mark is to open up the input fields.

    Ok, I see it seems that WP requires another class to be added to the element in order to be visibile. BUt, should not matter in the sense that these are open by default and the open/close state is not persistent. To say it in another way, the field sets would be visible without having to click on this element. So, it seems something else is causing the this element to be triggered in your admin. At this point I suspect another plugin not limiting its javascript to its own admin pages.

    I did make a CSS tweak to ensure this element at least is shown in WP 5.3, so that should help.

    Hello, How can I upgrade my WP PHP 7.1 to 7.3?

    @nadiaa1

    You need to reach out to your web host support team. Only they can upgrade PHP for you.
